Let's start in San Diego County, La Jolla Coves. There’s quite a lot to do in La Jolla. Besides all of the shops, restaurants, and activities, there’s the coves and tide pools. The beautiful marine life is enough to make the trip out of, but the climate is sure to impress! Hop on a paddle board, surf board or in a kayak and go experience what San Diego is famous for!

In our home city, Carlsbad, is Terramar Beach. It's located directly across from the Encina Power Station. You have to walk down the cliff to get to the beach, but once you’re there, it’s everything you’d ask for for the perfect beach day. Perfect water conditions, sunny skies and friendly people.

Located in Laguna Beach in Orange County, are these secret pools. The only way to get to them are down a huge flight of stairs, hence the name “Thousand Steps”. Head south down the beach towards a cool sea cave and go through it. Then once you exit, you will come to the secret pools. It’s paradise and won’t regret making the climb down the stairs. Going back up them, might be a different story.

Moving our way up the coast, to Malibu. El Matador Beach is the perfect place to stop for a picnic or just to relax on the calming sands, when the tide is low. There are hidden coves to explore and breathtaking lookout points along the cliffs. It’s a very popular spot during summertime, so parking may be limited, but so worth it!
